Our site covers two areas: transparency in politics and transparency in the news.
First, we provide a platform for politicians to prove to their constituents that they are not more of the same. By joining Honesty in Politics, they can show they are fully transparent and clear on where they stand on the important issues.
Second, we aim to bring you honest, transparent news. We rate news articles in 3 categories. This includes how factual the substance of the article is, whether the verbiage and feel of the article is biased, and if the headline is accurate or meant to induce a bias before reading.

Here at Honesty in Politics, we’ve grown tired of the constant lying from both sides of the aisle. According to PEW Research Center, only 2% of the population trusts their government to do the right thing "just about always" and a depressing 22% of the population trusts their government to do the right thing "most of the time."
